won't be updating the menu sounds to include the menu music that was introduced in 1.13.4, since it's (if it wasn't obvious) music
You mean the note cut/slice sound effects? They aren't embedded into the song, they are their own separate sounds and are played when needed (I think there about about 8 or 6 of them, each of them with varying lengths).
The way the game handles how it plays the hit sound effects is strange too, it doesn't play them when you get a good hit, it plays them in another way which is kinda hard to explain.
