At any rate, this game had a long and eventful life. 7 years is certainly a milestone for any mobile game, but the fact this one lasted as long as it did is a testament to the popularity of Mario Kart as a franchise. If anything, the amount of content in this game kept us quite busy during the long 11-year hiatus between Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart World, I'd argue.

Rest in spaghetti, Mario Kart Tour.

Just about got all of the character voices ripped. I only have Mario and his alternate outfits left (Mario has the most amount of files, so it'll take time, thank goodness for LukeWarnut's tSoR-Helper). Once I submit 'em, then all of the character voices will be here.

The only other sounds I plan to rip afterwards are the item sounds.

(And yes, I still plan to add the game to the wiki soon. Just haven't gotten around to doin' so quite yet.)

Hopefully we managed to archive as much from this game as humanly possible before it shut down.

Good to see more stuff submitted here!

So, just an FYI, I'm goin' to upload the rest of the character voices. I don't know how much of the sound effects I'll rip, though. I might do the item and course object sounds, but that's all I'm plannin' on submittin'. Partly due to the fact that parts of the game is downloaded onto your phone (don't know if parts also get removed), so some parts may be missin'. Who knows, there could be somethin' missin' from the submissions I already uploaded and I wouldn't realize it.

Hopefully, someone out there has literally every bit of data from Mario Kart Tour. I hope nothin' from the game becomes lost. If only I knew how to obtain Mario Kart Tour's data myself, I probably would've ripped more stuff from it long ago... (I also hope Nintendo makes an offline version of Mario Kart Tour, that way, the game's assets have even more of a chance of bein' preserved)

And also, it's partly due to the fact that I'm... not as familiar with Mario Kart Tour as I am with Mario Kart 8. I'm a bit more familiar with the former since I picked it up for the first time in a good long while now, but I'm still not 100% familiar with it (I guess that's my fault for not realizin' that the game has an option for motion controls LOL).

But anyways, enough ramblin'. I'll see 'bout workin' on gettin' them character voices uploaded. Some of 'em have files for the alternate costumes, so I gotta remove the duplicate sounds that are already part of the normal variants. As Gabe Newell once said...


Edit: Oh, and one more thing. I'll see about writin' an article on the wiki pretty soon. Even though the game is gonna shut down soon, I still want to document some things for Mario Kart Tour.
