@ogarvey Damn. Didn't know the Sound Effects of all things could've been... Ahem, weird. Guess that must've been the reason why nobody ripped the sounds used in-game yet. Maybe when you finally manage to figure out how to properly rip the sounds from the game, the same could hopefully be done for the other CD-i games.

@Super Piter, because the effects are encoded weirdly compared to normal CD-i audio, I've made some progress recently but it's not quite there yet.

Mario: Come on, Luigi! [Get they climb down the vine and walk towards Ludwig's Thump Castle Hotel] We ain't afraid of no koopa! [They see the door suddenly vanishing]
Luigi: Whoa...
Mario: [Grabs the door's handle and they go inside] Hurry!

Mario: Luigi, look! [finds a note] It's from Bowser. "Dear pesky plumbers, the koopalings and I have taken over the Mushroom Kingdom. The princess is now a permanent guest at one of my seven Koopa hotels. I dare you to find her if you can!" We gotta find the princess!
Luigi: (to player) And you gotta help us!

i'm still hoping whatever was used to encode the in-game sound effects for Hotel Mario had SOME progress for a decoding process...
Still, one day...
